I obtained a Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor / Board Approved Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas. I also have held a certificate in

School Counseling as well as a certificate as a Special Education Teacher (K-12) through the Texas State Board of Education. I was employed with Irving Independent School District (ISD) as a Special Education Teacher from 2001 to 2008 and as a school counselor from 2009 to 2015. I have been employed by Behavioral Health Connections as a Clinical Manager as well as with Children First Counseling Center as a Clinical Director and LPC Supervisor. I have served as the Regional Director of The Bair Foundation Child & Family Ministries. I have also served as the Director of Clinical Services for Red River Hospital in Wichita Falls. I currently see clients through my private practice, Sacred Space Counseling Center in Wichita Falls, TX. In addition to my current mental health experience, I have held positions in hospitals, group homes, and community mental health clinics. The focus of my work as an LPC has been with a variety of ages and groups including: children in play (ages 3 to 8) and modified play therapy (ages 9 to 11), adolescents, couples, and adults. I have led out in a variety of groups including victims of sexual abuse processing group, anger management group, and psychoeducational parenting group. In counseling, I practice a model that has its foundation in a systems perspective utilizing a variety of techniques from Narrative Therapy, Contextual Therapy, and Neuroscience. I am a Certified Level 2 Restoration Therapist. I am trained as a child-centered play therapist, and I became a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist in July of 2025. I received my LPC supervision license in 2013. I completed my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy through Texas Wesleyan University in December of 2022. I have two growing businesses that seek to support the work of therapists and educators within private practice and

the school system.
