Courtney Hoover is the Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research. In her current role, Courtney is responsible for overseeing the university's research development, pre-award, and technical (non-financial) post-award sponsored programs functions. Courtney also serves as the university AOR. Courtney received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Nonprofit Management. She most recently completed her master's degree in Business Administration at Midwestern State University. Courtney has been working in research administration since January 2022 and previously worked for a nonprofit in Wichita Falls. She is an inaugural recipient of the NCURA Emerging Excellence Award, which highlights new research administrators who have made substantial contributions to the field. Courtney fell into research administration unexpectedly but has grown to love all the different aspects of the field and all there is to learn. Courtney was awarded the MSU Graduate of the Last Decade Award in 2025.
