Ericka Russell is a creative writer and educator. After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts at Ohio University, she received her Master of Fine Arts from Western Kentucky University. While at WKU, she received the University Faculty Part-Time Teaching Award and the Potter College of Arts and Letters Excellence in Part-Time Teaching Award. Her academic and creative publications can be found in Writing on the Edge, West Trade Review, Iron Oak Editions, Bridge Eight, Asylum Magazine, Feminine Collective, Knee Brace Press, and more. Her areas of focus include the psychology of procrastination and writing process, identity formation, gender and sexuality studies, mental health and trauma writing/advocacy, and inclusive pedagogy. Her other interests include hiking, photography, thrifting, and cooking. She has one daughter, Salem, her cat.
