Bio

Heather Fisher, M.Ed., LDT, CALT-QI


Heather is currently a Special Education Reading Administrator for Lewisville ISD. She has extensive background serving students in general education, special education, and dyslexia. She earned her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2019, and currently holds a state of Texas principal certification. 


After completing her  Qualified Instructor Training through Scottish Rite for Children in 2020, Heather has provided Take Flight CALT training for therapists from Lovejoy ISD and surrounding districts, through the LISD Dyslexia Therapist Training Center. 


Heather is a mission-driven educational leader, who frequently provides professional development and training as adjunct professor and literacy advisor. She enjoys collaborating with  district and campus teams to assist in data-driven decisions, early identification, and effective intervention for students. It is her privilege to support optimal student achievement through effective screening, evaluation, and identification processes. She is passionate about doing whatever it takes to move students forward and coming alongside others, to help them do the same.


Heather and her husband John just celebrated their 27th anniversary.  They live in McKinney, Texas, and are incredibly proud of their 4 adult children and their families.
