Linda Veazey is the Chair of Political Science at MSU. She also serves as the coordinator for Women's and Gender Studies, pre-law advisor. She received her MA and PhD in Political Science from the University of Southern California. As an undergraduate, she graduated from University of Montevallo, a fellow COPLAC institution.
Her research focuses on human rights and gender. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of Amnesty International USA and continues to be actively involved in international human rights work. She is the author of Gendered Human Rights: A Woman's Right to Culture, Her current research examines human rights NGOs and policy creation. Her most recent article on Amnesty International was published in The Journal of Human Rights Practice.
