Ms. Laussmann advises McCoy College's Computer Science, Mathematics, Geosciences, Biology, Chemistry, & pre-professional programs. She earned a B.A. and M.A. in English from Midwestern State University and continues her lifelong love for learning of literature and the sciences. She has won awards for academic and creative writing projects, and continues to be published in various journals in print and online.

Ms. Laussmann is a member of the Academic Advisory Committee, the Health Professions Advisory Committee, the Joint Admissions Medical Program committee, College Council, and the Texas Academic Advising Network.
