Nicholas Membrez-Weiler is a professor in the department of Sociology. He teaches introductory sociology, criminology, sociological theory and research methods in sociology. His research is at the intersection of work, organizations, white-collar and corporate crime, and the sociology of gambling. His dissertation investigated the micro and organizational dynamics involved in wage theft. Current projects involve investigating the rise of digital gambling in the United States and around the globe, as well as theoretical work on the sociology of planning.
