Bio

Pablo A. Garcia-Fuentes is from Nicaragua, Central America. He holds a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, a master in science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and a bachelor in science from the Universidad Nacional Agraria in Nicaragua.

Dr. Garcia-Fuentes teaches economics and agribusiness classes at Midwestern State University. His research focuses on the areas of International Trade, Foreign Direct Investment, Remittances, and Economic Growth in developing countries. He is the college of business EURECA representative, and his research agenda includes working with undergraduate and graduate students. He enjoys mentoring students' research. He has sponsored undergraduate research presentations at the Economics Scholars Program for Undergraduate Research Conference, Dallas Fed, Dallas, Texas. He also sponsors the Financial Management Association and the Dillard College of Business Administration forecast competition.

His hidden talent is that he is a very capable mechanic and likes working on his car.
