Dr. R. Patrice Dunn is currently an Assistant Professor of Graduate and Adult Education-Clinical Mental Health. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas and the owner of Real Life Counseling and Consultation Services PLLC. Her research interest involves Black American women faculty attending Predominately White Institutions. She has presented at the local, state, and national levels on topics including digital storytelling, counselors and social media, ethical boundaries, and gun violence in schools, parent engagement. As an encourager, teacher, confidant, change-maker, listener, facilitator, mediator, mentor, and role model she is passionate and committed to making sure that the voices of Black women at PWIs are heard.
