My bachelor's degree is in English Language Arts from MSU. I was a secondary teacher for 3 years. My master's degree is in Counseling from MSU. My doctorate degree is in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University. I worked at a psychiatric hospital for four years on the Child/Adolescent Unit. I was a secondary school counselor for 14 years. My expertise is in child/adolescent counseling and school counseling. My research interests include mental health issues in schools, non-suicidal self-injury, and supporting LGBTQ+ students.
