Bio

Dr. Daniel Frazier was recently selected by MSU to serve as an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at the West College of Education. His primary teaching responsibility is classes for the school superintendency and for the Carnegie Project for the Educational Doctorate.

Dr. Frazier has enjoyed a long career in public schools having served as an English teacher, activities director, and principal. For more than half his career, he has been a superintendent of schools in a number of public school systems. In 2012, Dr. Frazier was recognized by eSchool News and its sponsors as National Tech-Savvy Superintendent of the Year.

Frazier earned his Doctorate of Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa, where he played NCAA Division II football. Additionally, he attained a Master of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska - Omaha and a Specialist Degree in School District Administration from Drake University, Des Moines.

Dr. Frazier enjoys hiking, bicycling, golf, water sports, travel, guitar, reading, and family time. A native of Guthrie Center, Iowa, Dr. Frazier attended public school in Harlan, Iowa, where his father served as superintendent for 23 years. His Twitter handle is @DanielLFrazier.
