Bio

Dr. Stacey Callaway has been in public education for 18 years. In those years, she has taught elementary students with autism, early childhood students with autism, early childhood special education, and supported parents in teachers in an Autism Specialist position and Behavior Specialist position. Dr. Callaway grew up in a house with teachers. Her mother taught Kindergarten and her father taught High School Special Education. She knew when she was young that she wanted to be a special educator! When she was working on her Ph.D. in Autism Leadership and Intervention, her research interests included evidence based practices for students with autism, and novice teacher preparedness to teach special education after graduating from a 4 year University based program.

Dr. Callaway has been teaching as an adjunct professor in undergraduate and graduate special education programs, as well as Applied Behavior Analysis programs since 2011, while continuing her work in public schools.
