Bio

As a counselor, I have spent my life helping children and families in a variety of settings. I began counseling in 2005 after I completed my Masters degree from Tarleton State University. My PhD is in Counselor Education and Supervision from Texas Tech University. One of my greatest joys is teaching and training future counselors.

I am the Co-Owner and Clinical Director of Alliance Counseling Works, LLP in Round Rock, Texas, where I am a practicing mental health therapist, as well as growing and supervising a diverse team of mental health clinicians. My goal is to use my professional and personal experiences to provide help and hope to those with whom I cross paths. It is my deep desire to help others overcome their obstacles, achieve their goals, and realize their worth. I consider it a privilege to help others walk through a difficult time, reach their goals, or gain a fresh perspective on a current situation. I integrate multiple therapeutic theories and techniques in my approach to counseling, depending on the needs of the individual client. I believe healing best occurs in an open and judgment-free alliance between therapist and client.

On a personal note, I am the mom of three amazing kids. My husband and I have been married for 28 years, have two sons and one daughter. The experiences of raising my kids, military life, international adoption, and relationships I have made along the way, have taught me the most about life and who I am as a person.
