Mrs. Amy Robinson is active as a music educator and saxophone performer. She is currently teaching as an Adjunct Instructor of Music at Midwestern State University and serves as the Operations Manager at the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra (WFSO). Prior to joining the faculty at MSU Texas, Amy taught middle and high school band, jazz band, and color guard in Iowa Park CISD, James Martin High School (Arlington ISD), and Krum CISD. 

As a saxophonist Mrs. Robinson has performed on national and international stages. She has performed at the World Saxophone Congress in Strasbourg, France, and at many national and regional North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) conferences since 2014. Additionally Mrs. Robinson performed with her saxophone quartet at the Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium and was a semi-finalist in the 2014 NASA Saxophone Quartet Competition. She has also performed in the WFSO’s Jazz Ensemble and with the Carrollton Wind Symphony, who performed at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in 2018. Mrs. Robinson has presented her knowledge of the saxophone at Texas Music Educator Association and Women Band Directors International conferences on the topic of saxophone pedagogy. 

Mrs. Robinson holds two master’s degrees from Illinois State University in Conducting and Saxophone Performance. She also holds a Bachelor in Music Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She and her husband, Corey, enjoy playing board games, swimming, and spending time with their daughter, Noelle, and their cats, Beesly, Lucy, and Buster.
