Bio

Morgan Page is an artist and designer working in North Texas. Her recent two-person exhibitions include the Dallas Center for Photography, the Red River Valley Museum, and the Museum of North Texas History. Her project "Bones of Texas" is under contract with the University of Texas Press to be published as a book. This project will travel to the Ellen Noel Art Museum in Odessa, TX next. Her recent publications include Book of the Disappeared: The Quest for Transnational Justice (inclusion of her print "Stolen") by Jennifer Heath and Ashraf Zahedi (University of Michigan Press). She has also participated in an international print exchange, "Supporting Indigneous Sisters: An International Print Exchange" that is currently on view at the Donkey Mill Art Center in Holualoa, HI and will go to the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts in Lubbock, TX next. Morgan Page was awarded the Jane Spears Carnes Fellowship from MSU Texas in 2022.

2713 Graphic Design I (Fundamentals). Introduction to the fundamental components of design theory and the history of graphic design. Creation of solutions to design problems through conceptualization, research, execution and presentation of projects. Overview of design methodologies.

3703 Graphic Design II (Print Design): In-depth exploration of the production of vector and raster graphics. Projects ranging from the creation of logos to the creation of social awareness campaigns. Continuation of the development of print production and presentation skills.

3713 Graphic Design III (Publication Design): Introduction to the role of graphic designers in the layout and design of publications. Practices and technologies used to create multi-page publications. Exploration of typographic forms and applications.

4703 Graphic Design IV (Animation): Three-dimensional and animation design. Use of storyboards and skills involving interface design. Special attention to concept design and creative problem solving.

4713 Graphic Design V (Web Development): Introduction to Web-page and site development. Preparation of individual projects. Emphasis on team approaches to solving complex design problems.

4733 Graphic Design VI (Portfolio Design): Creation of a portfolio. Refinement of existing projects and creation of new projects to ensure a substantial portfolio. Creation of self-promotional materials to accompany the print portfolio.

1333 Computers For Artists: Introductory studio experience in using the computer as a creative medium. Emphasizes hands-on software training directed towards the art of visual design and aesthetic expression. Topics include digital imaging, motion graphics, editing, and animation. Will also trace the central role played by computers in the field of the electronic arts from pioneering efforts to current trends.

2016-     Although, I do not serve in a formal capacity, I have attended several meetings at the Chamber of Commerce in Wichita Falls in an effort to help bring a larger MWSU presence downtown. That is a goal of the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Proud, which is how the two exhibitions I have coordinated have been able to take place downtown. I will be continuing to work with these groups and hope to be even more actively involved with each one as time goes on.

2015       I designed posters for P.E.T.S. Low Cost Spray and Neuter Clinic in Wichita Falls at no cost.

2016-     Although, I do not serve in a formal capacity, I have attended several meetings at the Chamber of Commerce in Wichita Falls in an effort to help bring a larger MWSU presence downtown. That is a goal of the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Proud, which is how the two exhibitions I have coordinated have been able to take place downtown. I will be continuing to work with these groups and hope to be even more actively involved with each one as time goes on.
